The Boeing Long Beach Fitness Center offers fitness assessments & orientations!

  1. Resting Heart Rate and Blood Pressure- Heart Rate is measured for 1 minute while sitting in a relaxed position. Heart rate should be approximately 70 beats per minute or lower.
  2. Height and Weight- Measured using a standard mechanical body weight/height scale.
  3. Muscular Endurance- Assessed by the total number of push-ups you are able to perform in 1 minute and the total number of abdominal curl-ups performed in 1 minute.
  4. Flexibility- The “Sit-and-Reach” assesses lower back and hamstring flexibility.Boeing Fitness
  5. Grip Strength- A hand grip dynamometer is used to measure grip strength.
  6. Body Composition- Assesses the ratio of fat mass to lean body mass.

The fitness assessment consists of two separate appointments.

  1. The first appointment includes: fitness testing, complete health history, measurements, and diet analysis.
  2. The second appointment includes: a review of the results from the previous appointment combined with the program that was developed with your goals in mind and an orientation of your exercise program.
